25 lessons I learnt on exchange

1. The body of Christ transcends time, space and cultural differences
2. Extroversion is a gift, and like all gifts, it must be used wisely
3. Relationships are much more valuable than experiences (to me)
4. I am most definitely a creature of routine
5. God is sovereign, gracious and faithful
6. Brain space is extremely valuable - you don't know how much you have until you're forced to have it
7. My burnout and stress is completely self-imposed
8. Showing up in itself can be very encouraging
9. Most ministry, and often the most valuable, is unlabelled and unseen
10. Australian coffee is really good
11. I really take Sydney's multiculturalism for granted

13. The strength of culture to influence everything, including churches (how immune should a church be to culture?)
14. Apparently I look Singaporean
15. CBS is v blessed, a blessing entrusted to us with a responsibility to share it
16. Communal showers aren't too bad
17. If you look Chinese in Singapore, people will speak Mandarin to you
18. No one ever really adjusts to humidity (I rephrased this from my notes cos it was so written in Singlish grammar HAHA)
19. When you have time and energy, you can love your friends way way better
20. Singapore doesn't have a $20 note
21. Being a foreign-born Chinese is apparently unusual (?)
22. Salted egg is a versatile food
23. Singaporean business students are very intense but it's a great thing when it comes to group work (sometimes)
